Shelby County Farm Bureau Foundation Scholarships and Information
Scholarship Information
The objective of the Shelby County Farm Bureau Foundation Scholarship Program is to provide scholarships to outstanding students in the Shelby County area. The following scholarships will be awarded base on academics, scholarship and financial need, activities, an essay question, and letters of recommendation.
These are annual scholarships that are awarded on specific eligibility and criteria. For specific eligibility requirements, review Eligibility and Requirements.
All submissions must adhere to scholarship requirements.
The scholarship period will run from January 8, 2024 to March 8, 2024. All applications must be submitted by March 8, 2024 by 4PM, no exceptions.
Application Process
Applicants may be awarded one of the following:

Shelby County Farm Bureau Scholarship

Chris Barker Memorial Scholarship

Howard Buffett Scholarship
-
John Culumber Memorial Scholarship
To apply for the above scholarships, applicants need only to complete one application. Applications are scored and ranked by an independent committee appointed by the Shelby County Farm Bureau Foundation not affiliated with Shelby County, Shelby County Farm Bureau, or Shelby County Farm Bureau Foundation.
The application period runs from January 8, 2024 - March 8, 2024. Completed applications must be submitted online on or before March 8, 2024.
To apply for the Hunter Legacy Scholarship you will need to fill out a separate application. You may apply to the above scholarships and the Hunter Legacy Scholarships. You may be awarded an above scholarship and the Hunter Legacy Scholarship. For eligibility and requirements click HERE.
Deadline and Review Process

Applications are scored and ranked by an independent committee appointed by the Shelby County Farm Bureau Foundation not affiliated with Shelby County, Shelby County Farm Bureau, or Shelby County Farm Bureau Foundation.

Scholarship funds will be credited to the applicant's account at the school they attend following successful completion of the first semester upon proof of grades. A "C" average is deemed as successful completion.

All information contained in each application will be kept completely confidential.

All application materials must be received in the Shelby County Farm Bureau office by 4pm on March 8, 2024, NO EXCEPTIONS.
