ELIGIBILITY AND REQUIREMENTS
Eligibility
​
The Shelby County Farm Bureau Foundation scholarships are open to graduating high school seniors and current full-time undergraduate students. Past recipients are eligible to re-apply. All applicants must meet the following general criteria to be considered for a Shelby County Farm Bureau Foundation Scholarship. Please see each scholarship for specific requirements, limitations, and guidelines.

Must be accepted for enrollment or currently enrolled at an accredited college, university, or community college.

Must be a full-time undergraduate student to qualify for the scholarship.

Selection will be based on academics, scholarship, activities, an essay question, and letters of recommendation.

The student applying must be or must be a dependent of a Shelby County Farm Bureau member in good standing. APPLY HERE.

Must reside in Shelby County

Must complete an application and send a college transcript at the end of the fall semester to the Shelby County Farm Bureau Foundation.

Two Letters of Recommendation from individuals not related to the applicant must be forwarded to the Shelby County Farm Bureau Foundation.
Requirements

Must be pursuing a field of study in agriculture, an agriculture related field, or a science related field. And must be able to talk about the impact the study will have in the agriculture community.

The applicant or parents must be a Shelby CFB member in good standing of the Shelby County Farm Bureau.

Must be a permanent resident of Shelby County.

Chris Barker Memorial Scholarship

Must be pursuing a field of study in agriculture, an agriculture related field, or a science related field. And must be able to talk about the impact the study will have in the agriculture community.

The applicant or parents must be a Shelby CFB member in good standing of the Shelby County Farm Bureau.

Must be a permanent resident of Shelby County.

​John Culumber Memorial Scholarship

The applicant or parents must be a resident of the Pana or Shelbyville School District.

Must be pursuing a field of study in agriculture, an agriculture related field, or a science related field. And must be able to talk about the impact the study will have in the agriculture community.

The applicant or parents must be a Shelby CFB member in good standing of the Shelby County Farm Bureau.

Hunter Legacy Scholarship

Must be a Central A&M Student Senior

The applicant must be accepted for enrollment or enrolled at an accredited college, university or community college.

Must be pursuing a field of study in agriculture, an agriculture related field, or a science related field. And must be able to talk about the impact the study will have in the agriculture community.

The applicant must be a full-time undergraduate student to qualify for the scholarship.

Applicant must have a GPA of 3.5/4 or 4.5/5 or higher.

The applicant or parents must have a family member (Parent/Grandparent/Aunt/Uncle) in good standing of the Farm Bureau.

Application must be returned TYPED; no handwritten applications will be accepted!

Qualified applicants must complete an application and enclose a certified high school transcript confirming GPA and provide a certified transcript confirming GPA and ACT/SAT scores. Certified transcripts must be submitted in a sealed envelope or electronically via email.
